Abstract

Percutaneous balloon pulmonary balloon valvuloplasty is the treatment of choice among patients
with severe pulmonary stenosis. We describe a 56-year-old woman with severe pulmonary stenosis
who presented with hemodynamic disturbances due to pulmonary thromboembolism during
hospitalization.
Percutaneous pulmonary balloon valvuloplasty is a safe and effective treatment for valvular
pulmonary stenosis.
