Abstract

Atrial fibrillation is one of the most common complications of valvular and congenital heart disease. In spite of its benign nature, it often leads to patient discomfort and palpitation. In many cases it is not difficult to solve this problem for the patient, and one of these techniques is the Maze III procedure. This is a report of our experience with this procedure in five patients.
