Abstract

We have performed a simple left atrial procedure for treating chronic atrial fibrillation (AF) by irrigated radiofrequency ablation (iRFA) in a 62 year-old female. iRFA operation was performed in the left atrium before the main procedure, which was MVR in our case.
The patient remained in sinus rhythm after the ablation and was discharged without complication. The aim of this report is to introduce this rather new technique of operative ablation in chronic AF
