Abstract

Mediastinal paragangliomas (pheochromocytomas) are rare tumors representing less than 1% of all mediastinal tumors and less than 2% of all pheochromocytomas. We describe a 53-year-old man successfully operated upon for concomitant coronary artery disease and mediastinal paraganglioma.
This is the first report of concomitant surgery for ischemic heart disease and paraganglioma in the world.
